Declined. ‘Reviewing all information available it is considered that the current main use of the premises is a commercial enterprise operating as an auctioneer and storage associated with that business. Therefore the criteria has not been met and the building will not be listed as an asset of community value’.


Thanks to all those who came out to support Resort on Saturday morning!

We have applied for the Pettman Depository to be listed as an Asset of Community Value. This would recognise Resort’s status as a place where people go for their cultural life and give us time to try and purchase the building. Continue Reading

Three RESORT artists Nat Maks, Melanie King and Charlotte Savage Print showcase an exhibition of cyanotypes, watercolours and screen prints, responding to the artists’ journeys, through practice and physical space. The artists’ use imagery from their own explorations, maps and NASA’s archive.

The next show is from 2 April to 6 May and will be organised by Helen Brooker, Teresa Limbrick and Mell Fisher.

Photographer Eleanor Marriott returns for another solo exhibition – this time exhibiting photographs associated with the winter season. Entitled ‘Wintertide’, it will include images taken during the snow storms that hit Margate earlier this year, as well as those from further afield, such as Italy, India and America.

Accompanying the exhibition will be a pop up shop, giving visitors the opportunity to buy prints, and framed photographs.

A collection of work made in 2017-18. Ben Sanders creates hand cut, analogue collages from both historic and contemporary magazines, papers, books, annuals etc. Framed originals and prints for sale.
