Alia (inter alia) is a Bermudian artist and photographer based in the UK. Her expanded practice spans sculpture, photography, ceramics and recently, musical performance. Self-taught, she considers her work to be “relics of a life journey as a seeker of truth, healing and belonging". Her work often seeks to resolve conflicts around community, individualism and spirituality. Her recurrent use of copper speaks to her belief that elementally, we are eternally connected

She is the 2017 Charman Grand Prize winner (Bermuda) and an active member of the creative community in Margate, UK. Alia has co-curated community exhibitions, works closely with grass roots organisation People Dem Collective facilitating creative workshops and is a member of Margate-based musical collective SoulArk Ensemble.

Alia is currently a co-director at Resort Studios.
