Uli Jaeger

Uli Jaeger is a visual artist based in the UK. Her work explores the liminal spaces where art and play meet within the context of the everyday.

The history of a material already in the world is a catalyst for Jaeger’s work selecting domestic and humble materials that are in a liminal state of neglect. The starting point of these materials occupies a place to expand and question what the possibilities are. Essential to the work is an intimate dialogue which leads to an open-ended process where things are always in flux and ambiguous.

A playful and often unresolved integration happens through printmaking, installation, porcelain and photography to challenge both meaning and appearance.

Jaeger holds a BA (Hons) Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) Canterbury and is a studio holder at Resort Studios in Margate, Kent (UK). She is also member of ArtCan (UK), People of Print (UK) and the Haller Akademie der Künste (Germany), and participates in the Morphé Network (UK).
